My Students
Class trips? Fun times!
Now, with our class set of tie dye shirts, our class trips and field days will be MUCH MORE FUN!
My wonderful kindergarten students are in a 12:1:1 self-contained Special Education program in a Title I school.
My students work hard every day towards achieving the same academic goals as their general education peers. The disabilities of the students in my class include autism, speech and language impairments, and learning disabilities.
Every student learns differently, and teaching in a self-contained special education class we have many different learning styles and personalities. My students come from low income homes, and many of their parents have difficulty reading, writing, and helping with homework. My students need to know that they CAN do it, with YOUR help, of course!
My Project
My students need 36 white tee shirts and 3 tie dye kits. Making these shirts together with my students will inspire teamwork while creating tie dyed shirts for special activities that we do together as a class. My students will be able to work together and cooperate while attaching their rubber bands and then dyeing their very own tee shirt. I know how proud my students will be when they're wearing their very own creations.
Our families don't have a lot of money, so it's hard to collect these items without your help.
Matching tie dyed shirts will help make our class trips smoother, and show our teamwork during field day. Besides....who doesn't love a little tie dye in their life?
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
