Help me give my students the opportunity to invest in school spirit and feel connected to a family from the very first day of high school with tie-dye kits, t-shirts, and fabric markers.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project for students is unique and special for the start of the next school year. Our students will be able to make their very first spirit shirt as a new ninth grader in our academy transition for high school. They will be able to feel an immediate connection to their peers by creating their own tie dye shirt to wear on spirit Fridays. This activity not only builds social emotional connections, it provides the student the chance to have a free school pride shirt they have personally created. Our students need the connection to school to build a strong foundation for success.
