Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As we are nearing the end of our school year, I would like my 4th and 5th grade students to create their individual galaxy inspired tie-dye t-shirts. Students will use the tie-dye kits to create unique & vibrant t-shirts in which they can express themselves using various colors. The drawstring backpacks will be used to send their creations and stuffers home.

It will be a fun way to celebrate my students academic success and send them off to 5th grade and middle school with this fun memorable STEM activity.

Throughout the year, my students learned about chemical reactions, the Earth, and the universe. This will be a perfect opportunity for my students to conclude their science learning experience. The book will be read to students to hopefully engage an interest in STEM related careers.
