Tidy Tech Tub

My students need a Tech Tub to neatly manage our Chromebooks.

My Students

I teach in an urban area. All my students receive free lunches. They often lack the basic needs that we take for granted. They come to school hungry and unprepared to learn. Their parents cannot provide them with the basic tools they need to succeed in school. Many of my students, who are only 6 years old, have already attended two or three schools.

However, they come to school curious, wanting to learn and explore, in a place that is safe and caring.

I do this by creating an environment that fosters their natural love for learning, a place where they can feel secure and cared about.

My Project

I have been lucky enough to have had several of my Donors Choose projects for technology funded by generous donors. We now have six Chromebooks that my students use with our great literacy intervention program, Lexia, to improve their literacy skills. However, we do not have the electrical outlets to manage and charge our Chromebooks.

We need a Tech Tub to neatly plug an and charge the Chromebooks so that they are always ready when we need them.

Moreover, the Tech Tub is lightweight so that the student and I have the flexibility to move it anywhere in the classroom.
