My Project

Creating a positive classroom culture starts with recognizing and celebrating students’ efforts, choices, and growth. This project will fund a classroom raffle reward system designed to motivate students through daily opportunities to earn tickets. Students will earn raffle tickets for displaying positive behavior, showing responsibility, demonstrating kindness, and engaging in all kinds of class activities. Students will put their name of their tickets and drop them into the ticket box for their specific class period or into the "mystery" ticket box. We will draw winners randomly throughout each grading quarter and start fresh each nine-weeks. By using storage bins to organize prize tiers and a prize wheel to add excitement to the mystery drawings, this system will not only encourage good behavior but also teach students goal setting, saving, and decision-making.

The materials in this project—raffle tickets, clear lockable ticket boxes, stackable storage bins, a tabletop prize wheel, and an assortment of high-interest student rewards—will allow me to build a fun and effective system that meets a wide range of student interests.

Prizes will include laptop stickers, pencil toppers, shoe charms, and fidget keychains, as well as non-tangible rewards like homework passes and class pet helper privileges. By offering both random and earned incentives, this system ensures that every student has a chance to feel successful and appreciated.
