My Students

I started my teaching career as a NYC Teaching Fellow two years ago. I teach at a very large New York City public high school in Ozone Park, Queens. My students come from diverse backgrounds, and live in various parts of the city. They will be back in person this year, and it is uncertain if they will be remote at any point. My students are comprised of special and general education students, all with unique needs.

My Project

High school students are working on building all aspects of their life skills that will help make them successful when they graduate and enter college, and/or the working world.

Time management and goal setting are important life skills that will enable students to be successful in all aspects of their lives.

These materials will help my students build their time management and goal setting skills, and set them up for success in the classroom, and beyond. Teacher Pays Teachers offers a variety of graphic organizers, daily schedules, and goal setting worksheets that I can customize to each student's unique needs. This will enable students to set, and track their own goals, as well as their daily schedules and assignments. As a result students will take ownership of their learning, and also learn how to advocate for themselves along the way.
