The school year has begun. Teachers are eager to teach their students and students are excited to learn new ideas and concepts. This year, our class will be participating in a wide range of whole group and small group discussions including Socratic Seminars. Sharing ideas with the whole class can be daunting and scary for students, especially those with smaller, quieter voices.
My goal this year is to have all of my students actively engaged in classroom instruction and discussions.
My Project
The use of two Qball throwable microphones will help increase student engagement during classroom instruction and discussions. I am hopeful that the addition of two throwable microphones will encourage all students to participate especially my students who are soft-spoken.
Together, I believe we will be able to inspire all students to participate in the classroom and that students know all voices are important, both big and small.
The Qball microphone allows students to throw the ball from one person to another. Being able to throw a ball around can help sustain student engagement while allowing all to be heard. Learning can be fun and I know with the addition of two Qball throwable microphones, this can be achieved!
