My Project
By donating to this project, you are giving us manipulatives to learn essential third grade math skills such as multiplication, division, and fraction. This will also give me a strong start since this is my first year in third grade. I hope to bring the same excitement I feel in this new adventure by making sure my students have what they need to thrive in my classroom.
These STEM related materials will engage them in critical thinking and collaboration that open doors for complex conversations and math talks.
My students come from different socio-economic and language backgrounds so I would like to provide multiple ways for them to access learning. Having visual representation and hands-on tools available will help in understanding essential math concepts.
I plan to use these materials as part of my choice board, small group work, and indoor recess. I would like to give them multiple opportunities to practice and explore ways math works in real life by making these toys accessible whenever possible.
