Three's a Charm!

My students need supplies to provide interventions, such as, dry erase markers, reading comprehension dry erase activities, fluency timers, a reading corner couch, interactive fraction activities and academic vocabulary activities.

My Students

My students are special because they are diverse learners who want to experience a fun and engaging education. They attend a community school where students live in close proximity. Our school is an early childhood center, located in an inner city neighborhood. We are a Title I school where students receive free and reduced lunches. Many students are new to the country and have to adapt to the English language and American culture. "Relationships cannot grow without the proper communication."

My Project

My students are in need of your support! I am the third teacher they have had this year. I moved from a third grade classroom to this current 4 th grade classroom to help then succeed emotionally and academically. We need the requested materials to help engage the students and support their individual needs. The materials requested are: 15 subscriptions to time magazine, a red comfy couch for reading good books, 1 set of vocabulary sort cards, 1 building fractions activity center, magnetic sentence strips, and 24 dry erase markers.

The materials will make a difference for this classroom because they are hands on, motivating, and easy for them to use independently.

The fluency timers will help my students time their words per minute and be able to chart their growth! The vocabulary centers will enhance their knowledge of academic words they need to know the meaning of.
