Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
So many of my students have not heard traditional fairy tales. This could be the year that they learn to love traditional tales and even hear modern versions of these tales.
My students are an amazing bunch of 22 low-income students who are eager to learn about everything that surrounds them. My students come from difficult home situations, however that will not determine their success in school. They know that through hard work, everything is within their reach.
My Project
My students will use these books during read-alouds and in our classroom library. These books are of many different fairy tales (both modern and traditional) and are also of varying reading levels so that each student has something that appeals uniquely to them.
These donations will improve the classroom by providing materials that each and every student can interact with. It will allow students to select books of different topics and books on different levels which make the text accessible to all students.
