My Project

I teach Library and Technology Services (computers, tech, and STEM) to over 700 scholars in grades preK through 8. Our school is an urban charter, and though my scholars face many challenges, they come to school ready to learn and eager to try new things. We strive to create a learning environment that is engaging, relevant, and supportive of their interests.

I also serve as the head coach for girls' basketball and, for the first time ever this year, cheerleading!

Our creative and innovative scholars work so hard and will be so thrilled to learn of the opportunity to show their talents in cheer. The cheer team, which will run alongside the boys' basketball season, will be made up of scholars from 5th through 8th grades. In order to participate in cheer, scholars must be in good academic and behavioral standing; for this reason, our cheerleaders are motivated to work hard on their academics as well as their athletics.

In order to make sure that every interested scholar is able to participate in cheer, I would like to provide cheer tops and cheer skirts, as well as pom poms in school colors, for each participant. With this project, we will be able to provide each scholar in need with a complete uniform for cheer.
