This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me support students in finishing the year strong and prepare them for a summer where they can prioritize their mental health and wellness.
Many of the students I work with will be graduating middle school.
Crafting supplies in my project will go toward meaningful activities and projects they can take with them to remember what they learned in therapy. They can also continue to practice coping skills in the summer and in high school. Summer can be a time for fun and rest and for many students, it's also a time of increased isolation and being away from resources normally provided at school. My hope is to provide tools and materials to help mitigate this.
