A theme of my class is exploring human impact on the environment--from Earth's cycles, to biospheres, to energy consumption. With the support of this book centering cross-issue solidarity and intersectionality, students will be empowered to apply their new knowledge of climate science to enact change in their communities.
Science literacy is incredibly important as we encounter media claims about climate and health and everything in between.
My goals for this project are to build students' critical thinking skills around science literature, deepen their understanding of the intersections that exist when discussing climate justice, and engage them in the changemaking process.
