My Students

My 8th grade Social Studies classes are so excited to be studying U.S. History during these historic times! My school is in a small rural district in southwest Mississippi. We are learning about our nation's history and watching our nation's future being formed all around us each day.

Unfortunately, our classroom printer is rapidly running out of toner that allows us to print the materials we need to study our nation's history and record our current events.

Most of my students comes from homes where money is tight, meaning school supplies put a burden on already struggling household budgets. Being able to print copies of the materials, we need to keep my lesson flowing and my students engaged.

My Project

Having a refilled toner cartridge on hand when the old one runs out ensures that there is no break in the educational process. I like to strike while the iron is hot, as they say, and want to be able to print out the pertinent news article or copy of the Gettysburg Address when it is needed. When a student has to wait to receive the materials he needs, his enthusiasm can wane when we're talking about junior high students. Being able to give my students what they need, when they need it can make all the difference, especially to a student who may be struggling in the course.

I am asking for your help, Dear Donor, in providing some refurbished toner cartridges for my classroom printer.

With budget cuts in the district, the money for such supplies is not available. Thanks you in advance for considering my request.
