This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a kindergarten class of energetic, eager to learn 4-5 year old students. These requested books are not only interactive and engaging for young children but they teach skills like rhyming, are silly and are books that children can relate to and connect to the feelings of the characters.
My goals for this project are to help my students fall in love with books, reading and learning by creating a classroom library of engaging books by theme and author that the children can fall in love with and want to read again and again.
These materials will make a difference in my students life and in their learning by showing them that learning and reading isn't a chore but rather something that is fun and can take you on so many adventures.
