My Students
My students are loving, curious, motivated, and creative! Students range from five to six years old in our classroom, and for many, this is their first real school experience. We offer bus services that bring students from all over the city with different backgrounds and challenges. About ninety percent of my students come from low-income families.
Although my students are exposed to different learning strategies and are constantly learning, they need hands-on activities and a safe environment to focus and emerge as strong readers.
By having this extra support, we will be able to provide them with opportunities to meet their needs.
Different learners and different students bring their own process in how they work and think. I want to offer my students opportunities to expand their thinking and challenge them to think academically and creatively.
My Project
My kindergartners will greatly benefit from the puzzles and a storage case because we are an inclusive classroom built with children of differing abilities and eager to learn through fun activities.
Being able to give my room a mix of puzzles that will challenge everyone is a task that carries long-term benefits such as increased problem-solving, fine-motor skills, perseverance, and patience.
When my students are able to choose from a variety of puzzles that support their development on skills kindergartners work on, it will increase their autonomy and promote cooperative play in our classroom.
