My Project
Students will use painting describe their feelings through abstract works of art. By using more quality pigments then what our school has to offer, students will be able to describe their inner emotive qualities with the intensity they so desire.
This project is primarily about centering oneself and meant to encourage community awareness of mental health.
I want students to explore color as a means to express themselves and their states of being in a way that all skill levels can succeed and find meaning within. Our students are ready and eager to dive into themselves, they just need the proper materials to fully and more poignantly represent their ideas. They will be working to use shape, color, and gesture/markmaking to articulate the way they feel and how they may project that to the [school and greater] community
