My Students
My classroom is an inviting and fun place for my students to escape the problems outside and focus on learning and bettering their futures. I do this partially through hands-on activities.
My students are juniors and seniors.
We live in a high poverty area where a large portion of our student body, K-12, is on free or reduced lunch. By the time students reach me, many of them have jobs or are caring for younger siblings. They enjoy working with their hands in creative ways. I use this to help them learn skills and retain information so they don't often realize it is happening.
My Project
My students will use these materials to organize creative items such as colored pencils, markers, glue, and scissors. This will allow us to have one storage bin at every table therefore, saving precious learning minutes in class.
Many of my students love creative projects but they don't always feel the best about drawing. These packs of stencils will allow them to express their learning in creativity while not feeling self-conscious about their drawing abilities.
These supplies will save precious learning minutes in my classroom by providing organization.
They will also build self-confidence because students will focus on the projects and not on their drawing skills.
