it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Here at PS 503 we have a vibrant tradition of learning circus skills in performing arts class. Every spring we clown, balance, and juggle our way to the end of the school year. This year the younger grades need help with their balance unit.
Balancing in different ways is fun and helpful for the younger student.
As the students balance they build strength in their bodies while building focus skills in their brains.
The students in our neighborhood often do not have families with the resources to send them to extra-curricular activities. At PS 503 we try to provide as many different experiences as we can to our students because they deserve to explore their talents as much as any other child does. During our circus unit the lower grade students get to try out different balance apparatus like beams, stepping stones, and stilts. They also get to balance things on their own bodies like peacock feathers and bean bags. It basically all leads to a ton of fun.
Please consider helping PS 503 students have a great time and learn to be the best they can be.
