This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We LOVE to read in our classroom. Many of the classroom library books are from my mother's classroom library. She taught for 30 years and has been retired for over 10 years! Students are constantly asking if we have any new books for our library.
During our Read to Self station, one student exclaimed, "Look Ms. Greenway, this book was printed in 1968!" I would love to be able to offer new, relevant, and inclusive books for them to use in our classroom.
