My Project
Help us keep our Kindergarteners' brains sharp by helping them stay properly hydrated without having to leave our classroom during instruction. Our young students regularly ask to get a drink of water. We have a new water bottle filling station in the hallway right outside our classroom and our littles need new water bottles to fill and keep in our classroom to use whenever needed.
We keep a water bottle for each student in our classroom so our young students can grab a quick drink at any time they need one without having to leave the classroom, minimizing time away from instruction.
Because many students forget to bring water bottles from home (or lose them), with personal funds, at the beginning of the school year I purchased affordable, thin plastic water bottles in bulk to ensure each student had one to fill and grab as needed during our instructional day. At this point in the school year, most of the not-so-great quality water bottles now have broken lids or are leaking and need to be replaced.
We are in a large, urban, Title I public school. Many of our classroom members started Kindergarten with no pre-school or other school experience. We are working hard to make their Kindergarten experience as engaging, happy, and healthy as possible. Would you help with this by supporting our goal of providing every student with a new, leakproof, high-quality, transparent, kid-friendly water bottle to ensure they stay hydrated each day with minimal instructional loss?
