I am privileged to teach 40 outstanding students for math and science. My students are very inquisitive, creative, and extremely clever. We are a Title I school where over 60% of the population receive free or reduced-price lunch. Even though my school is very culturally diverse, we are extremely competitive and we strive for excellence daily.
Willing, ready, and always trying to stand out among the rest, we need technology in our classroom.
We are shining stars and would love to shine with or above the rest.
My Project
These tablets will be used for more individualized instructions for students. They can work on individual assignments that I can assign using the tablets to complete the task. Also, students will be able to join sites to compete with other students on a variety of math concepts in other states. In addition to those reasons, student will be able to take assessments on line, complete projects and investigate different strategies to problem solve and work at their own pace.
These tablets will allow differentiation with technology in our classroom much smoother.
Students will now have an opportunity to create additional math problems, class quizzes, unit assessments, and games.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
