Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Be the ones to make a difference, inspire, and motivate my students with the use of a computer tablet.
My students live in one of the poorest cities in California.
The majority of my students immigrated from different countries. Due to their economic background, they do not have the ability to purchase advanced technology such as a computer tablet. Most of my students comes from a low income family. Therefore, my students are very curious when it comes to the use of a computer. I use my computer in class as a tool to aid me with different task such as with the use of a document reader. When I use the document reader, my students become engaged, focused, and motivated to learn.
My Project
By having computer tablets, my students would have the opportunity to discover different computer applications. This would help them with their studies. For example, in third grade, it is essential to memorize the multiplication times tables. A simple multiplication application would make learning fun and interactive. I would be able to download e-books which would make reading more interesting. It is important as a teacher to realize that we must prepare our students for their future, to obtain the necessary tool such as a computer tablet, my students will have the opportunity to advance and use their knowledge in the future.
With your generous donation, my students will have the opportunity to access advance technology.
The computer tablets would expand their knowledge and have the opportunity to compete in the future workforce.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
