Help me give my students Marvin Redpost #2: Why Pick on Me?

My Students
Last year, I taught third grade remotely. Seventy percent of the students were remote as well. It was a very challenging time for all. This year, we are all back in school--teachers and students. It is so wonderful to see the children in person again--their smiles spreading beyond the bounds of their face masks. Third grade is a magical grade to teach. Nothing dampens the enthusiasm of an eight year old.
I have a new set of third grade students this year.
They are all eager to learn. They have arrived at school with their hand sanitizers and masks and pencils and marble notebooks--eager to read and write and learn. They don't mind the desks being three feet apart or the air purifiers humming away in the corners of the room. They are happy to be back and so am I!
My Project
Marvin Redpost-Why Pick on Me is a favorite of 3rd grade readers. It's a heart-warming story about overcoming bullying--a positive lesson all students need to learn.
After a year of remote teaching, I have returned to my classroom to find the class set of this book, gone.
This book will be the anchor text of a month long unit. While the physical book will be read in class, much of the student response work and extension projects will be done digitally--using Google Classroom, Nearpod, Padlet, and independent research.
