Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are hard-working, creative, highly motivated, and diverse groups of learners. They come to school ready to learn, and I want to give them a safe, happy, and productive classroom.
I teach at a Title I school in Houston where ninety percent of the students receive free lunch.
Some of the students in my school participate in the Backpack Buddy program. My students are third grade, English Language Learners. My students are eager to learn and do their best to make their parents, teachers, and school proud.
My Project
I am requesting graph ruled math journals, Ticonderoga pencils, and pink erasers. My students will use these supplies for the math block during the school year of 2020-2021. My students will complete hands-on activities about place value, multiplication, division, fractions, financial literacy, area, perimeter, and more on the journals. These type of journals help the students with the pictorial models. The pencils are necessary to use to solve their math problems. The erasers are essential because they help my students correct their errors. Thank you for considering supporting my project.
