My Students
My students are creative, out of the box thinkers who have a love for learning. This is a group of fifth and sixth graders in California coming from a variety of backgrounds. They are all eager to learn and create new experiences. Our school strives to create a rich learning environment and offer a variety of learning opportunities for students to grow as individuals in the classroom and out. They are excited about their education and I would love to give them the proper tools to keep growing.
My Project
COVID-19 has presented some truly unique challenges for our students in every way- and this adaptive bunch has rolled with the punches & persevered! The most difficult time of our day this year is RECESS. Our creative students have been thinking outside the box, amping up their artistic and reading skills, walking a safe 6 feet apart, but we're now in need of some FUN supplies and tools so that we can PLAY safely with our friends!
This project aims to supply each student with a few tools that they'll be able to use individually, and reinforce both PLAY and socialization, while maintaining social distancing from others.
Our play structure may be closed, but we've got the imagination we need to have FUN and stay SOCIAL during this pandemic!
We're bringing back some "classics" to keep the students moving, laughing, playing & having a good time! The sky is the limit with the tools our class is requesting in this project - I know what my ideas are now, but I can't wait to see what games and challenges these 5th and 6th graders come up with!
