Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my school are excited to learn and love completing hands on projects. They are motivated to work in groups and take the lead on finishing their work together. When the students visit the library they get excited for what's to come.

Our school is a Title I schools and almost all receive free lunch.

Many of the students are English Language Learners who do not have anyone at home to help them with their school work. They look to come to school to get help. Most of our population come from troubled homes and the love the guidance and support they receive from teachers and staff at school.

My Project

The various K-Nex sets will allow our students to think about creating in a whole new way. They will be able to have fun and while incorporating STEM learning into their projects. The IPad will be used for students to create 3-D designs that will then be printed with our 3-D printer. Students will work collaboratively with students from other schools to develop new things for students that need them in other countries.

Our students are looking forward to having this new space for them to be creative and providing them with the resources they need to be successful would really make our vision come to life.
