This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We could really use basic supplies! A lack of funds means a decrease in spending. Unfortunately, many schools like ours can't afford ample quantities of things like cleaning products, white out and post its. These things can make a big difference in student success.

I work at a low income, Title I school at which most of our students qualify for free lunch.

Many of my students will be the first in their families to graduate from high school. Many of my students are college-bound, highly motivated, hard working and dream of success.

My Project

Small things make such a big difference. Air fresheners will help create a relaxing and welcoming environment, and a floor mat will help keep the classroom clean. Paper towels will also help keep the room clean, and a clean classroom is so important for morale. Feeling comfortable is the first step in a student's success. Furthermore, white out will help students turn in polished work that they can be proud of. Taking pride in their work helps students aim for better grades. Small things like this all contribute to student success.

Basic classroom supplies are hard to come by at my school and will truly help my students to succeed. These supplies will truly help improve student morale and will, in turn, lead to greater achievement. We really appreciate your support of public education!
