Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a third-grade teacher, I strive to create a learning environment that is engaging, relevant, and supportive of every student’s growth. Scholastic Magazines are a powerful tool that helps me achieve this by bringing real-world topics into the classroom in a way that is age-appropriate, visually engaging, and aligned with educational standards.

These magazines offer high-interest nonfiction texts that build reading comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills.

They expose students to current events, science, social studies, and cultural topics—broadening their understanding of the world beyond the classroom. Each issue includes interactive activities, discussion prompts, and digital resources that support diverse learning styles and make lessons more dynamic.

For many students, Scholastic Magazines are their first introduction to reading about real-world issues in a format they can understand and enjoy. They help foster a love of reading, spark curiosity, and encourage meaningful conversations. Most importantly, they empower students to become informed, thoughtful, and confident learners.
