My students need a horseshoe table in order to sit in a small setting and be able to do group reading. They have the will to learn and I have the desire to teach!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students walk into my classroom with a high desire to learn. I have a class of 22 energetic 3rd graders that come from a variety of different background, over 90% of our students receive free lunch. Some of my students have very limited schooling in their own language and are now attending a public school. We move from learning letters to reading very quickly. Helping students learn English and becoming literate is my passion. My students have come from all around the world, and some more from across the border. One particular student comes to my mind, coming to school to a foreign place and having to adjust to a new school and new language, but so eager to learn.
My Project
Having a horseshoe table will allow for different structures of learning in my classroom. One way it will be used during my morning route is by pulling students a sided in and provide small instruction during my reading interventions.
Reading Centers will be possible in the back of my classroom where my kiddos could be engage in a small group setting.
They will have the opportunity to practice their reading skills, as well as their new vocabulary. While I am reading with two, the others could be partner reading and taking turns listening to each other.
The possibilities are endless, If only I could have the horseshoe table for them to feel more comfortable instead of sitting on the carpet. Please help me achieve this by donating to my project.
