Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 25 fourth graders are composed of many students with different learning challenges. It includes three students with an IEPs, 14 English Learners, two who receive speech services, and 95% of the students qualify for free lunch. Most of my students stay in the after-school program.

These students, despite their home, learning, and socio-economic challenges, have a vision about themselves to become our future nurses, veterinarians, teachers, and engineers.

They show up to class eager to help and share with each other.

My students consider school fun where they have friends and they learn. Their energy is contagious so that we always look forward to seeing each other the next day to conquer our challenges and learn from one another.

My Project

A color printer will inspire and motivate students to complete assignments across all content areas then print them and post them on bulletin boards outside the classroom and inside classroom. Students will continue to take ownership of their learning. By printing and posting their work, students will inspire younger students to continue to persevere on building their technology skills. Sharing students' work will continue to develop a 21st community of learners. Students will be printing online assignments such as writing, science, art, math, assignments. Printing and scanning assignments will help students work on grade level portfolio.
