This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am working in a STEAM lab in a large elementary school. I see 287 students a week. The students have been working already on many hands on projects using simple materials. One of the materials we use almost daily is tape and we have already gone through many rolls so far! Having different types of tape on hand and enough rolls for each group would help so much in completing our hands on projects.
Students who start school with the supplies they need in the classroom and at home are more motivated, have higher self-esteem, and enjoy a better learning experience overall.
I am requesting some clear tape, double sided tape and packing tape for students to use with their engineering projects. Most of my students are living in poverty ,and I try my best to provide them with the necessary materials needed in class.
