My Students

We are 21st century learners and we need 21st century seating so we can wiggle while we work. "Sitting still is overrated. It makes sense for the opera or for meditating, but in most classrooms and child care centers, it's given far more honor than it deserves. Children need to move." ~Tom Hunter

I teach in a predominantly low income area at an incredibly innovative school.

My students and I are active learners every day. We are always seeking new information and new ways to learn and teach each other. One of the most exciting ways we are learning this year is through a project based learning experience. My amazing students are researching and implementing ways to end hunger in our community and world wide. I could not be more proud of their desire to learn and help others.

My Project

In today's innovative and active classroom, we need innovative and active seating. The wobble chairs are the perfect solution! No more tipping chairs and falling over. No more tripping over chairs pushed out into the isle with feet on them. My students will be able to move all they want as they remain on their seats and actively engaged in their learning! They will wiggle and wobble their way through math, science, reading, and writing every day without causing harm to themselves or anyone else.

Providing my students with flexible seating options will allow them to learn in the way they learn best.

Sitting still at a desk all day is not the best way for all students. Allowing my students the freedom to get their wiggles out while they work is the key to providing the best learning environment possible.
