My Students
My class of 25 students is a wonderful group of 8 and 9 year olds who make each day at work exciting. My students strive to be better readers and have set great goals for themselves for the year. However, they are in need of more books.
It is important that students have high interest books on their reading level available in the classroom library.
Unfortunately, my classroom library does not have books available for the students wide range of reading levels. These books will help the students to develop a love for reading and allow them to continue this love in the future.
My Project
My students enjoy reading and strive to be betters readers. Students read indepdently for 15 minutes a day right now. The goal by then end of the year is 45 minutes. In order for my students to increase their reading time, they must have books that interest them and are on their reading level.
By donating books to our classroom library you will be helping students to continue to develop a love or reading but also help them to increase skills that are necessary in life.
Currently, my classroom library lacks the appropriate books for the various reading levels of my students.
With these books, students will be able to increase their reading stamina and enhance their reading skills, which are necessary to be successful. It is with these books, that I hope my students begin to develop a love for reading.
