This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

PE used to be students' favorite time of the day! And now with two soccer balls and two jumpropes, our students feel hardly motivated to get their blood pumping. A diverse amount of equipment with the right activities will get them into gears! Help me help them!

My students are currently in the 5th grade attending a charter school in downtown Los Angeles.

There isn't much green space in the apartments they live in. They like to spend their energy in hands on learning opportunities. These are some awesome kids.

My Project

PE has been shafted as an extra curricular activity. Our school gives us 2 mandated hours to teach PE a week with two soccer balls and two jumpropes. My 5th graders are hardly impressed. With balls, cones, goals, and bean bags I can teach my students an array of bodily movement and strengthening activities to enhance their lifestyle. It doesn't take much, but I am positive these resources can make a difference!

Students can learn during PE too!!

I've figured out activities where I can incorporate Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies into my program. The kids are going to love being active while slipping in some crucial academic subjects. Its a win-win situation!
