My Students
My students are as diverse in their personalities as they are in their abilities. I have some incredibly gifted students as well as some who need a lot of extra support. As a result, our classroom needs a wide variety of options to differentiate their lessons. I’ve found several computer programs and apps that can help each student reach their potential. Allowing my students to feel good about learning and their growth is my goal as their teacher. I could use some help in reaching this goal because several of my students are easily excited and can get loud when they’re working, while other students feel stress when they can hear their peers talking. I’m hoping to be able to help both sets of students by purchasing noise reduction headphones for my entire classroom as well as headphones for our computers. Seeing my students smile, excited about learning, and increase their confidence is the best part of teaching.
My Project
My students are diverse in their abilities and will greatly benefit from being able to hear on their computers. During computer time they have not been able to use some of the programs that would be most beneficial for each student at their levels. We have literature programming that assists our struggling readers as well as ones that challenge our most gifted. This program can read the literature to the students and can explain the higher-level thinking questions to the gifted students. Being able to listen to how a new word is pronounced can help all of my students improve their spelling and vocabulary. These headphones will help all of my students in the classroom in so many subjects.
