This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a fourth-grade teacher at a public school in Arizona. My school is a Title I school where one hundred percent of students receive free or reduced-priced breakfast and lunch.
My students come to school excited and ready to learn.
They work well together as a team and encourage each other to strive towards their goals. My classroom is filled with uniqueness and diversity.
As a teacher, I am committed to providing my students a quality education through relevant and meaningful lessons. Through differentiation, I make sure the needs of my students are met. In my classroom, students grow academically in addition to learning life skills and building confidence. My students are the reason I come to school every day.
My Project
I would like to have a presentation clicker and USB-C adapter for my classroom. Currently, I am stationary at my desk while trying to teach a lesson with a presentation. In order to click through the slides, I need to be in an arms reach of my computer. That's where a presentation clicker comes in! Last year, my students all received Chrome books so I have been able to create a lot of engaging presentations that students can interact with. Teachers are also getting new Macbook Airs so I need an adapter to be able to share my screen through the projector. Being able to present my screen and walk around while presenting a PowerPoint will increase student engagement and help me to gage students' understanding better. In addition, I would like to have an echo dot. My students enjoy listening to music while they work. This will allow me to play music without having to pick kid appropriate songs. It also is very easy to connect. Studies have shown that classical music can help to increase students' focus.
A presentation clicker, USB-C adapter, and echo dot would make a huge difference in my students' learning.
