I teach at a charter school where my classroom is full of fun, bright, energetic, and curious students. My students come from diverse backgrounds and have different learning styles. Engaging, hands-on learning activities are the secret to our success and so I am always switching things up and looking to add materials to my classroom to meet their needs.
My students are excited about learning, explaining their thinking, sharing what they know, and experiencing the world around them.
They work hard, help others, and play hard. No matter what we are learning about, my students fearlessly dive into the topic and give it their all. I take pride in creating an atmosphere of respect, love, and taking chances. I am thrilled to be able provide meaningful learning experiences and through them, instill a love of learning, teach them to care for and help others, and to be a person who positively contributes to our local and global communities.
My Project
My students need some engaging picture books that will help them develop of love for reading. My class enjoys the picture books I read to them but they are short and they want MORE! I am having a hard time finding books that are longer but will keep their attention. I'd love to have some new books to use as read alouds that'll keep my student engaged and wanting to read for themselves.

Books are a wonderful investment in my student's futures. Books unlock mysteries and open their eyes to creativity and enjoyment that may not otherwise be met. They are challenged to think about the stories by practicing comprehension skills, to check their understanding, and to be taken away to imaginary places and introduced to and analyze spectacular characters.
I am also asking for fire tablet cases to protect our technology. Technology is a wonderful supplement to help my students practice math facts, read stories, and to use the online programs our school provides for each student. Thank you for your support with these materials.
