This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I believe every student has the ability to learn given the tools to do so. One of those tools include access to quality reading books. Having such access support students in the ability to read fluently, comprehend and build vocabulary skills in the process. Some students lack the basic literacy skills needed and fail to read on grade-level. Moreover, the reading deficit as widen due to COVID-19. This deficit not only affect their reading skills but other academic areas such as math and science. I want to open their minds to the endless possibilities a book could give them.
