My Project
The pandemic has made it challenging to create hands-on activities while also following safety guidelines in regard to COVID. My students absolutely light up when given the chance to write sentences, vocabulary words, or sight words on their whiteboards. This project will help give my students the necessary materials to have their own sets of markers and microfiber erasers.
The materials from Staples will help foster my students' love of learning in a fun and hands-on ways.
Have you ever been sitting in a class thinking about how hungry you are? Or how exciting it is to be recognized for persevering through challenges? My English Language Learners strive to be the best they can be every day. Most of these students arrive very early in the morning and stay very late after the school day has ended. The snacks on this project will help my students stay focused so that the only thing they have to worry about is learning English!
The whiteboards and easel pads will help make learning more accessible to all students in small and large groups. All students benefit from visuals. The composition notebooks will be used as vocabulary and sight word journals for students to go back and use when needed.
I am extremely proud of my students for their effort and excitement while learning a second language during this pandemic. I want to give my students the most engaging and hands-on experiences that I can provide them.
