This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is located in an inner-city neighborhood. Most of the students have two working parents and many speak a second language at home. The neighborhood our school is located in is a diverse, urban setting.

My students are eager, young learners.

This school year will be their first exposure to a large public school. The children speak another language at home and are economically challenged. Most students receive free lunch.

My students deserve to start their academic careers with as many opportunities as I can provide for them. They are curious and creative. They are full of questions and are constantly exploring the world around them.

My Project

Our students love to pretend to be adults and they enjoy making meals, coffee and other yummy, pretend treats for the adults in that come in and out of the room daily.

The children will use the diner set and coffee set to pretend to be their parents and make meals for the fellow classmates. The students will also use the ice cream and BBQ grill set within the coming months to pretend to have some summer fun with there classmates.
