Help me give my students an improved writing experiemce. Kindergarten students learn best through hands on experiences. These Handwriting Without Tears accessories are the tools to teach them proper letter formation from the start in an engaging way.

My Project

My students are still developing the fine motor skills necessary for writing. Handwriting Without Tears provides materials for this age group.

Developing fine motor skills and small muscle groups in the hands is important for kindergarten students.

The roll a dough and magnetic trays give kids the hands on engaging tools to build fine motor dexterity while learning their letters. The wood pieces help break down abstract concepts and symbols into easily identifiable shapes like “big line, little line, big curve, and little curve” as well as helping them build small muscles in their hands and arms.

I will be using these materials in a large group format and then in small teacher-guided groups. They will also be used for independent practice and exploration.
