My Students

We are an integrated co-teaching classroom in the Bronx with 26 Kindergarten students, each with unique strengths and challenges.

The 26 sprouts in our classroom have begun to blossom!

You can see and hear these great minds blooming as they begin to realize those squiggles on the page are words and that they can read them!

In our classroom we strive to create a caring and safe learning environment where all students feel confident to take risks and grow as learners. We meet the needs of our diverse population by emphasizing compassion and respect for all.

My Project

Throughout the day we break into small groups for reading, writing and math, to better meet the needs of our diverse learners. This tablet will allow us to provide students with extra practice using the skills we have been teaching through apps and games.

Nothing motivates my students like technology.

An Amazon Fire will allow students to work independently and at the appropriate level. Students that need extra help can receive it with the many innovative apps that have been created recently. Reluctant learners are motivated and engaged by these great sites, and the range of apps allows us to meet the needs of both high and low performing students.
