My Project
I'm always looking for things that will help my students be the most successful and access school curriculum in the best way possible for them. As their skills continue to grow, we push them into higher work. With that higher work comes less clearly defined space to write answers on worksheets or in other activities. As they grow in reading skills, single sentences in our reading work turn into longer passages and paragraphs. For them to continue to work at their best, they need some small accommodations. Just a little boost.
My students need some visual supports to help keep their writing clear and organized, and to help them not loose track when they are reading.
With the Legiliner stamps we will be able to quickly and effectively create lines for them to answer questions in a worksheet or other activity that may not have any for them to write on. This will help them to continue to write in an organized way, still utilizing correct letter sizing and spacing. The varying degrees of size will support each learner at exactly where they are currently, in their writing skills. Each staff member will be able to keep one in their small group area ready to assist each learner. The color overlays will help the students keep track of where they are in each book, passage, or paragraph, both while they're reading, or when a classmate is reading during turn taking.
