Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items that I have listed on my project list is to encourage my students with reading. They all love different comic books especially depending on gender. I have an entire 11 boys in the class that love to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Dog Man books. There is never enough of them in the library for the kids to check out. I have the same issue with the girls as well.
I want to make sure that each student is getting to read something that they like, otherwise students don't enjoy reading!
I want to incorporate games into their reading. I want my students to grow in their reading, and the only way to do that is to have fun!
My students are very special to me as I see them as they are my own kids, when one is down, I am down. When one is happy, we're all happy. I spend more time with my students at school than I do my own kids at home, and that alone makes them super special in my eyes.
