Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Rhodes JH students participate in project-based learning. 75% of our students are mentored each week by a staff member. This allows our students to form connections with staff that go beyond just the curriculum.

Rhodes students are excited about having a pet therapy program in the school where they can interact with animals and learn how to meet their social and emotional needs.

Our students have the opportunity to participate in the pet therapy program where certified therapy dogs can come on campus and interact with them.

My Project

These materials will provide a safe environment for the therapy dogs that will be starting on our campus. The dogs will help the students will emotional and behavior health. Rhodes JH is incorporating the Muttigrees curriculum on campus which has proven benefits to calm students and help with behavior.

Muttigrees is a successful, nationwide, social emotional curriculum that has brought joy to many students all over the country and now it is here at Rhodes JH!

Thank you for considering materials that will support our behavior therapy pet program. By providing a dog bed and a safety gate, this will allow the behavior therapy dog to have a place he can rest and take breaks.
