The students in our classrooms have a wide variety of academic and social skills. Our students may all be working on different skills or learning through a variety of ways, but they are all part of the same community and work best when they are all together! Collaboration and group work around fun, creative activities allow all of our students to grow and learn together, regardless of their abilities.

My Project
Our students will benefit from dramatic play toys, activities, and items that correspond directly to our science and social studies units. When the items in our pretend play center connect with the content we are teaching across the curriculum, students will have meaningful opportunities to directly interact with items that will help them solidify their knowledge and learning. For example, during our "Homes and Families" unit, we teach about different responsibilities and roles in every home, but with these supplies, our students can practice making dinner, doing laundry, cleaning, and shopping. In our "Weather" unit, we teach about different kinds of weather, but our students need an opportunity for hands-on practice with dressing for the rain and cold. Our large storage bins will allow us to categorize and sort our different thematic play units to allow for easy access for kids and teachers!
