This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Today I am reaching out you to support my class. I am a first year teacher that just moved to Colorado from Texas. With the budget for special education was cut at my school. Our school is 99% free and reduced lunch. These students are ambitious and show up daily looking to grow and learn. My students show that they want to continue writing their story for their up and coming future that they have set for themselves. With your help it would give them the chance to have resources that they need to grow. With the math manipulates will help my student grasp a better understanding of how they can solve the problems with a visual. With the snacks it’s a great reinforcement and celebration of their great effort they show in their work and learning. The fidgets allow my students refocus on their learning and help they forget the tough challenges that they face. The rug will great area for my students to relax and talk with their classmates.
