Each year my students love to read “Tacky” by Helen Lester. Last year I was able to buy them their own copy because they were cheap enough. They loved it! This year, they are more expensive, and I cannot afford to do that. This will help them take their love of reading into their homes and show their families how they can read so well.
You helping me buy these books will help some kids get books that don’t have much at their house at all.
I have several children in poverty that are not able to have fun books like “Tacky”.
