Theater Makeup & Hair Supplies for Plays/Musicals

Help me give my students stage makeup and hair supplies that will help them be able to put on plays, as part of our theater standards, that are used in nearly every stage production that occurs.

My Students

The theater students at my school are some of the most focused and driven students I have ever seen in any classroom setting. They give everything that they have in their productions, whether it be a play, a musical, or showcase. These students have longed to put on a production ever since their spring musical was cancelled in the spring of 2020 because of COVID. We are finally getting ready to put on our first performance since then.

For many students, theater and musical theater is their entire reason to come to school, thus why it is important to make sure that these programs find the needed funding to succeed, which is usually quite significant.

Donating to our theater programs helps each student to be able to focus less on fundraising and financial burden, and focus more on developing their skills in the performing arts.

My Project

This funding project is to help us to buy makeup and hair materials needed to produce plays and musicals, as part of the performance element of Nevada theater standards (TH:Pr5.HS.1I). Because of COVID, and because we are a new drama program, we were unable to acquire much of this material for productions that were already in the works when COVID forced our school to cancel the shows that were in the works. That means that we are left to basically restart our stock of theater needs. Please help us out!

As we get on stage, we need to look the part and currently, without makeup and hair supplies, that is going to be hard to do.

Supporting our theater program by helping us out with this will allow us to have successful productions not only this year but into future years as well. This primes our stock of supplies and gets us moving forward again. Thank you!
